The bifdobacteria, including B. infantis, B. bifdum and B. breve, should represent the largest population of beneficial bacteria in babies, whose immune defences are not yet fully working. Babies pick up these friendly bacteria from their mothers during their passage through a clean and healthy birth canal.
Studies show that B. infantis was found in approximately 60% of full-term newborns who were born vaginally and only 9% of babies born by caesarean section. Formula fed babies also have significant differences from breastfed babies in the composition of their gut microfora because the heat used to pasteurize formula kills all bacteria. The specific strains used in Infant’s Blend have been specially chosen for their high value to health and have been formulated to the viable count appropriate for infants.

INGREDIENTS
Each gram of powder is guaranteed to contain not less than 2 billion total viable cells (at time of manufacture) of:
Lactobacillus casei 35%
Streptococcus thermophilus 20%
Bifdobacterium infantis 15%
Lactobacillus acidophilus 15%
Bifdobacterium bifdum 5%
Bifdobacterium breve 5%
Lactobacillus bulgaricus 5%
In a base of:Maltodextrin and Ascorbic Acid.
SUGGESTED USE
Dissolve 1/2 a teaspoon once a day in formula or other liquid to maintain healthy intestinal flora or dissolve 1/2 a teaspoon three times a day in formula or other liquid as a therapeutic treatment when sufering from intestinal disorders.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
May contain traces of milk powder, whey and soy lecithin.
