Between 20-40% of women will suffer from urinary bacterial infections in their lifetime, about 75% of women will suffer from Thrush at some stage in their lives. This is of particular concern amongst women ages 20-60, especially when going through the Menopause, as this reduces estrogen levels and dries out mucous membranes.

Dry mucous membranes disrupt the acidic balance in the vagina and can lead to an unhealthy growth of bacteria that induce urinary tract infections such as Candida and Thrush. Dry mucous membranes are caused by Menopause but also by menstruation, pregnancy, diabetes, douche products, some antibiotics, birth control pills and steroids. Lady Comfort™ addresses this balance and helps to keep bacterial populations in check for good vaginal health.

Cranberries have been used for generations for their antioxidant qualities and nutrient content, and they’re often referred to as “Superfruit”. Cranberries are high in Vitamin C and contain large amounts of polyphenol antioxidants (proanthocyanidins). Studies show that cranberry juice can prevent and help treat Urinary Tract Infections. Cranberries are also thought to reduce stress.

Traditionally, Evening Primrose Oil was called “King’s Cure-all”, indicating its wide range of uses for healing. EPO is high in the essential fatty acids GLA, gamma-linolenic acid, the oil contains ca 70% GLA. GLA appears to have an effect on hormonal imbalances, e.g. Premenstrual Syndrome, and dry skin conditions, e.g. eczema.

Studies have shown Caraway Seed Oil’s antimicrobial activity against Candida and other pathogens affecting moist mucous membranes. Has also been shown to relax the vaginal muscle. Traditionally, caraway has been used in “love potions” as the herb is said to keep lovers from losing interest in each other.

INGREDIENTS

Per daily intake of 2 tablets:

Evening Primrose Oil: 500 mg

Cranberry fruit: 450 mg

Caraway Seed Oil: 50 mg

Evening primrose (Oenothera biennis, L) oil, Cranberry fruit (Vaccinium macrocarpon, L) extract, soybean oil, bovine gelatine, stabiliser (glycerol), caraway seed (Carum carvi, L) oil, lecithin, purified water.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Cranberry should be avoided by people prone to kidney stones. Do not take Lady Comfort™ when pregnant/breast feeding. Always check with your GP if taking medication.
